Their names are “complementary” but actually they are not complementing each other at all. These are colors that are opposite to each other on the color wheel. Or, in another word, they’re contrast colors. They can easily stand out and catch your guest’s attention. Such colors like purple and yellow. The further the colors are away from each other, the more contrasts and strong impression the combination will create.
