Great Gatsby Bridal Ideas

I love the 1920s for many reasons. It was a time when women tossed their corsets, hiked up their hemlines, chopped off their long locks, and wore noticeable makeup and fabulous headpieces. Their style was gorgeous and daring. It is timeless, revisited often in fashion.
The 20s’ women also won the right to vote, supported themselves, and were a force to be reckoned with. Having said all of the above, what’s my point is that you can add the gorgeous new “Gatsby Collection” to her wedding accessory collection.
These photos were captured at the Stimson-Green Mansion that has been in Seattle for over a hundred years. This Seattle wedding venue is the perfect place for your vintage style, roaring 20s wedding.

Nikki Reed's Wedding Inspiration

Twilight star Nikki Reed and American Idol alum Paul McDonald tied the knot in Malibu, California. The perpetually edgy Reed—known outside the Twi-verse for gritty turns in indie flicks like Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown—married American Idol alum Paul McDonald in a one-of-a-kind fit-and-flare fantasy gown that was dripping with Tacori diamonds. However, maybe lots of you may hold the view that celeb weddings have been given a bad rap – extravagant and unrealistic budgets and weddings that last no more than 72 hours. But there’s still a little bit of curiosity in side each and every one of us to see exactly what the dress was, what the colours were and what she carried as a bouquet. So, just shift your emphasis, and enjoy this celeb’s amazing wedding shots.

It took more than 100 hours of hand stitching to fit the dress to Nikki’s body. Embedded at the center of the bodice’s blingy band were 30 carats of Tacori diamonds – one five-carat rock surrounded by 12 pear-shaped stones, symbolizing the 12 months of the year and the circle of life. The back of the dress featured 100 diamonds buttons (a total of 105 carats!). The train was six feet long!
