Cheap Christmas Wedding Ideas

Celebrate the holiday season with a Christmas-themed wedding. Save money without looking cheap by using the decorations most churches and reception sites already put up at Christmastime. Use red and green as your colors, or incorporate a few Christmas decorations into a silver and white wedding.
Invitations
For invitations, consider using blank Christmas cards. Take card stock and print the ceremony details and place it inside a beautiful Christmas card. Boxes of Christmas cards cost less than wedding invitations and set the mood for a holiday wedding.

Decorating the Church
When decorating the church, add some Christmas lights and potted poinsettias to the decor the church already has in place. Place wreaths with bows on the pews or use large red Christmas tree bows.

 

The Reception
 Use candles to decorate reception tables. Cheap red or green tapers look festive alongside some holly leaves. Or, decorate the tables with ornaments. Miniature wreaths look pretty with a candle inside. Put a miniature Christmas tree on each table for a merry holiday display that won't break the bank. Add some twinkling Christmas lights to complete the holiday feel.

Give plain Christmas ball ornaments as favors. Use a glitter pen to write your names and the wedding date, or inscribe a Christmas message. Make or purchase Christmas sugar cookies for guests and put them in cellophane bags tied with Christmas ribbon. For another cheap holiday wedding favor, give everyone bags of hot chocolate and a mug.
